The software is free.
You pay for what David does.

FoxEra has no subscription, no per-seat fees and no contract. You start with £240 of credit included, and after that you pay only for the AI work David does — around £1 to read a supplier invoice. Use it less and you pay less. Stop using it and you pay nothing.

Free, with no asterisk

Not a trial. Not a limited tier that locks the useful parts. These cost nothing, however long you use FoxEra and however many people you put on it.

  • The software itself — every screen, every report
  • Unlimited users. No per-seat fees, ever
  • Live stock across every site you run
  • Recipe and dish costing, and re-costing when prices move
  • Gross profit and variance reporting
  • Your data, exportable, whenever you want it

What costs money, and exactly how much

Every time David reads an invoice or answers a question, real computing power gets used and we pay for it. So that is what we charge for — nothing else. Here is the whole list.

One pound is 100 credits. A single site scanning ten invoices a week spends around £43 a month; twenty a week is around £87. A quiet month costs less, and a month you do not trade costs nothing at all.

Coming soon: earn credits without paying

We are building a way to earn credits by completing setup tasks and watching short training videos — so a venue that would rather not spend money never has to. It is not live yet, and we will not pretend otherwise until it is.

No contract. Ever.

Most inventory software is free to start and then ties you into a monthly contract you keep paying whether you use the system or not. That is the part that hurts, and it is the part we do not do.

Use FoxEra when you need it. Stop when you do not. There is nothing to cancel, nothing to give notice on, and nothing that keeps taking money from a venue that has closed for the winter.

Make it yours, with credits

Everyone starts on the same standard FoxEra. From there you reshape it — and you pay for that in credits too, not in a contract or a project fee.

  • Remove what you do not use. No recipes in your operation? Hide recipes. The screen holds your job and nothing else.
  • Ask for what is missing. Tell us the feature your venue needs, we quote it in credits, and we build it.

Most software gets more cluttered the longer you own it. This gets simpler, and more like your business, the longer you use it.

Set it up yourself — or don't

Setup is built to be done by you, in an hour, without a call. If you would rather not, someone who has actually run a kitchen will do it with you — your recipes, your specs, your suppliers — and that costs credits as well. No day rates, no project quotes.

Message us on WhatsApp and tell us what you run.

Straight answers about money

Is FoxEra's software really free?
Yes. The software costs nothing: no subscription, no per-seat fee, no contract and no lock-in. What costs money is the AI work — every invoice David reads uses real computing power that we pay for. So we charge for that, and only that, at cost-plus rather than as a monthly fee.
What is a credit?
A credit is simply how AI work is measured. One pound is 100 credits. A new business starts with credit included, and each thing David does costs a set number of credits, listed in full on this page. Nothing is hidden and nothing is rounded up in our favour.
What happens when my credit runs out?
The software keeps working. Your stock, recipes, reports and history stay exactly as they are and you can keep using every screen. Only the AI actions — scanning and asking David questions — pause until you top up. Nothing is deleted and nothing is locked.
Do I need a card to start?
No card is needed to create your company and start using FoxEra with your included credit. You only enter payment details if and when you choose to top up.
Why not just charge a monthly fee like everyone else?
Because a monthly fee charges a quiet January the same as a busy December. Paying for what you actually use is fairer for independents, and it means we only earn when FoxEra is genuinely doing work for you. It also keeps us honest about making David efficient.
What am I paying for when I pay for the human skillset?
Setup done properly, your recipes and specs built for you, and FoxEra shaped around how your venue actually runs — including removing features you do not use. That is a person who has worked in kitchens sitting down with you. It is optional, quoted per venue, and it is how we make our living.
